Close up art phtoto - staghorn fern - platycerium
An example of a close up art photo of a fallen platycerium leaf (staghorn fern or stag's horn fern) as it begins to turn, green to yellow. These bifurcated leaves are the plant's sex organs, producing the spores. Staghorns aren't deciduous, but their leaves do age and fall. This is part of the Natural Abstraction collection of fine art photos.
